Just installed the Yoshimura engine covers for 11 gsxr

And I was wondering if anyone can get a close up picture on them installed, cause the right case protector's bolts were very tight when it came to putting them in the housing, and idk if the bolt is jammed or seated properly inside, started from left to right, they all went in at different lengths it seem.. (deepest to shallowest.)

I just don't want any oil leaking and getting on the back tire

Re: Just installed the Yoshimura engine covers for 11 gsxr

After looking closely at the savers it appears that it barely touches the plastic but it almost looks like there is just a tiny gap the size of a grain of sand and I say that because it looks like a grain of sand is stuck between the saver and the plastic. here are some pics of the right side:

Here are some pics of the left side:

so if/when you go down you don't destroy the case. also lets you get back up and back into the race, theirs other reasons as well

Re: Just installed the Yoshimura engine covers for 11 gsxr

^Yea, supposed to protect it if it ever goes down. Don't know how well it protects, but I think it looks alright, plus, having a little insurance doesnt hurt.

Hey John, those yoshimura add ons look sweet! Got any more pics you can post up? Something a little more zoomed out?

Also, I'm assuming that the case protectors are not compatable with the LSL no cut sliders?

Looks good. More zoomed out pictures please... really leaning towards the Magna-whatever finish to stand-out over the black, but not convinced yet. A couple more pictures showing the full bike may do it...

Also: Original hardware, new hardware supplied...? Anything else to note...?

Re: Just installed the Yoshimura engine covers for 11 gsxr

It came with all the hardware needed to install. You need to replace 3 bolts with 3 of the supplied hex bolts that come with the kit. Install is pretty straightforward. Took me about 15 minutes total to install.

Unfortunately, I tested my left side cover. Fortunately, it did its job.
