ERROR CODE \"C46\" SHOWN AND HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM?

Hi. I had posted a thread recently pertaining to the red light and F1 shown on the display. Found the solution to get into the dealer mode and got the error code displayed as " C46 ". According to a genius member of this forum, the code stands for EXAUST CONTROL VALVE ACTUATOR fault. So, how do I fix this problem? Is the sensor faulty or anything that I need to do? For your info, I had my K3 fitted with bolt on Akra, USBpc3, TRE and K&N filter. Anybody who had come across this, pls give me a hand here. Thanks. Cheers

Sure, I'll bet when you installed your exhaust that you removed the SET servor motor on the inside of the right frame rail huh????

Did you remove any of the wires on teh ECU, or do anything with the SET servo motor connections?

Re: ERROR CODE \"C46\" SHOWN AND HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM?

No I did not. I never knew about the SET servo motor connector, how it looks like and what to do with it. But I had come across one thread, posted by a Gixxer member saying that a K3 with a BOLT ON exaust pipe does not require disconnecting the brown wire in the ECU or something. I am not sure what to do really. Surely need more help from you Jeffw and anybody else out there. Thanks. Cheers

Well it's out of adjustment, and you should remove it all anyway.

Go to Bugman's site and read up on it. (he hsa his own forum here)

Re: ERROR CODE \"C46\" SHOWN AND HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM?

I had found out that the servo motor was faulty and the two cables regulating the butterfly valve jammed. I ended up removing the exaust valve and disconnecting the brown/black wire in the ECU. Problem solved and the bike runs better than ever. Thanks anyways. Cheers
