2006 GSXR 750 Streetfighter
Here are some photos of my GSXR 750 K6 Streetfighter project. Just painted the headlight assembly with the yellow accents, added the semi gloss black powder coated lower triple clamp, fork damper, radiator (just did side pods with a black Cox radiator guard) and foot pegs. Also just got the ECU flashed and put on the Yoshimura black case guards.

I've also been thinking of powdercoating/painting my lower trip clamp. Did you prep it at all? How is it holding up?
Thanks

Re: 2006 GSXR 750 Streetfighter
Sorry I haven't been on the forum in a while.
The powder coat is holding up great even on my foot pegs. The lower triple clamp took a fair amount of prep work since it is a casting. I just spent some time sanding it and filled the little air holes with JB weld (since bondo can't take the powder coat bake temperature) then wet sanded it. The steering damper was done the same way after it was taken apart.

I'm usually not a big fan of the streetfighter look, but yours is awesome.
What's that small unit to the left of your gauge cluster?

same here. Most streetfighter bikes look cheap and just not finished to me. This one looks like it took time and money to finish.

Re: 2006 GSXR 750 Streetfighter
Thanks, but I haven't spent much cash on it just alot of time!
I'm now working on moving the tail section closer to the seat, angling the whole thing up and vacuum forming new narrower ABS side pods, the goal being to make it look even more hornet like. I'll post pictures when I get it done.

Re: 2006 GSXR 750 Streetfighter
Looks good...a lot of streetfighter styles end up looking like wrecked bikes...
P.S. Are you a Steelers Fan? ( black and yellow )
