Man, if I had a bike like that I'd park the shit out of it. It sounds like he's got a well rehersed script ready to go at a moments notice, he didn't shut up the once as soon as the engine went off.

The fact that its being ridden on the street means its not being ridden. I've seen some being ridden on track, that's really the only place that bike belongs, it's one helluva an uncomfortable streetbike.

Sometimes even when they're on track they're not being ridden.......how embarassing is this? Being passed by a 600 not in a corner, but on R.A. humongonous front straight LOL

Just think when an owner has to pay for a 23 hour service on this bike when hitting the 15,000 mile mark. http://www.ducatispot.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23436 here is a link for someone I know who was the first to have it done.

wow. another reason i would never buy a DUC. they are beautiful and the factory is awesome but not my cup of tea. that dude had his shit in over four weeks just for a scheduled service. fuck that.

i dropped a rod in my HONDA and they rebuilt the whole bottom end in about two weeks from start to finish.

At least the guy rides at a fairly decent pace and not a garage queen that comes out from time to time. If having the money and someone I trusted to wrench on a Desmo it would be in my garage.

I have passed quite a few of them. The bikes are AWESOME bikes. But I have yet to see one ridden at anything more than an intermediate level pace on track.

I did try to pass one on the exit of T14 at CMP (at the time I did not notice what it was) and as I got beside him (keep in mind I had the drive already and was passing) he looked over, saw me WHACKED the throttle and shot off like a car with nitrous in a stupid ricer movie does. It was like hitting afterburners it seemd

............. then I passed him on the brakes into T1

That thing has some THRUST though for sure
