hi, new to this
i bought a 98 gsxr 750V (carb) recently. it has been lowered but i wanna raise it up. friend of mine looked at it and said link needs to be changed and it will go back up to original height. ive been reading over stuff trying to find more info on it but i see many different names for possibly the same thing? what are dog bones, links, and push rods?
Re: clarification on links, dog bones, push rods...
thanks.
so what i see from the service manual is that the linkage goes on the bottom of the shock absorber. so longer links make the shock sit farther back which lowers the bike, correct?
where is the dog bone? clearly they dont refer to it as a "dog bone" in the manual lol.

The linkage is the first pic in Ghostriders post.....the 2nd pic are the dog bones.....The long thing with rounded end that would look similar to a dogbone....get it ?
Re: clarification on links, dog bones, push rods...
yes the dogbones are connected to the linkage which is connected to the shock. so i just need oem dogbones and my bike will be raised back up to where it first started.
