srad 600 help!

hi all im new to the forum and to the gsxr 600,ive had the gixxer about 3 weeks ,over the last couple of weeks its developed a strange noise?
its seems that when the bike is in neutral and when you shift a gear and engage the clutch there is a loud rattle noise the best i can disscribe it is when you change gear and it doesnt go in propper you get a kinda grinding sound ?
ive never come acroos this problem before so any insight would be a big help

Re: srad 600 help!

Well...It sounds like a transmission/engagement dog problem.
But...It could be the all too common Cam Chain Tensioner rattle?
Will it happen when in neutral when you give it gas quick and then let off the throttle? (a.k.a. blipping the throttle)

Most will say to use the ape manual tensioner but i still prefer the o.e.m.
Run the vin number with suzuki motor america.
If the tensioner has never been changed under the recall, they will do it for free (parts & labor) regardless if you are the original owner or not!

You'll have to run that one by Suzuki themselves.
