Bazzaz TC/QS

Hi

Have a lovely k6 1000, actually my second one, the only thing that I am missing/would like to try is the bazzaz TC. Have anyone tested bazzaz products with the TC?

My bike have an crescent QS, the bazzaz systems have there own included . Is my crescent one worthless if I buy the bazzaz system?

Is the installment/mapping of the fuel injection hard, is it possible to find a map for my bike. Have Pipercross AF, acrapovic fullsystem.

Re: Bazzaz TC/QS

FlyingPig is using a bazzaz Z-fi/qs... I am too but I haven't got to actually put it to use yet out on the track just played around with the maps currently. If your Cresent QS is a stand alone system I imagine you just have to piggyback the ignition coil plugs into your unit instead of the bazzaz.

Re: Bazzaz TC/QS

Ask me in a few months... I just picked up an Akra Evo Ti full system and am waiting to install it until I get the full Bazzaz setup.

As far as mapping it, you can pay a shop $300 to do it for you, or you can spend $245 for the Bazzaz box with an oxygen sensor and let it help you make your own as many times as you want. Basically, you turn it on and it datalogs for all the rpm and throttle positions it sees, then makes suggestions and asks you if you want to apply them. Supposed to be slick and seamless. The new software allows you to smooth areas to soften throttle response.

This is probably something you want to get everything you can buy right off the bat. The way the economy is going I don't trust anyone who is in the Toyz business to be around 6 months from now, it would suck to get the basic unit and then decide 6 months from now that you wanted the 10 position TC/2 map switch, or the self mapping box etc.

If you bargain shop, it works out to be $1200US

Do it! The Bazzaz is AWESOME, I have two custom maps in mine, and have been playing with the TC, for a while now. I do not want to ride without it now, it is worth every penny. If you get it let me know, I can send my maps to you, one is for pump and the other for race gas.

The bazzaz quickshifter is by far one of the smoothest ones I have ever used. You'll absolutely love the quickshifter.

I was looking at an advert for the Bazzaz and it said; "uses standard pickups". How does TC work on a bike without ABS? It wont know what the wheels are doing.

Re: Bazzaz TC/QS

Do a youtube search for bazzaz traction control, there are a few videos that explain how it works.

Re: Bazzaz TC/QS

The Bazzaz unit works off of rate of change in the speed of the crank. It's a lot smarter than I am so I can only go off of what I have read. Bazzaz has made these with pre-programmed limits, so if the crank is "accelerating" faster than it should in any given gear, it kills spark. A whole lot went into making these things fairly easy to use, I started off with someone elses TC map, and started tweaking it to my liking. Like Danny said, go to Youtube and start watching video, you'll get the hang of it.
