main relay ? about 01 1000

ok i just picked up a 01 1000 complete swap except the gauge cluster ..
wich i just got in the mail today from a guy on e bay 100 bucks shipped and its perfect ..
now i didnt disconnect the harness from the motor everything is still hooked up even the gas tank i just got a 01 1000 ignition and key plugged it in and before i could start it the neutral light was on ..i used the main relay from my 99 gsxr 600 carb bike to see if i would get power is there a diffrance in relays from 99 and 01 if there is where can i buy one so i can start the motor on the ground before i pull my 99 600 motor out...dont want to pulll the 600 motor out if the 1000 motor has problems thanks...im sure they are diffrent just want to make sure ..

That is the turn signal relay.

The starter relay and main fuse are at the seat, under the body work on the left side.

are you sure thats the blinker relay cause if you remove it and try to start the bike it wont? i thought it was the relay that has to do with the fuel pump and starting ...it dosent matter anyway i figured it out the relay controlls the gauges and the ignition and the one from the 98 srad works with the 01 harness.i just had to push it in really hard so it would make a connection.
