First of My bike is an 04 GSX-R 600.
Modifications that may be valid- Power Commander, Yoshimura stage R Cams, K&N filter, stock headers, and HotBodies under-tail exhaust.
As far as Wiring Harness- Kickstand cutoff has been disabled, front blinkers are not on the bike, Hot Bodies under-tail blinkers are spliced in, as well as an aftermarket license plate light. Usually have to move handle bars back and forth while holding starter button to get the bike to start.
What is happening- It started by me going through town then I hit the highway where my rpm's got higher then my bike cut off and a red light came on along with FI on my dash. I popped the clutch and gassed it a few times in order to get down the road and this would crank the engine and allow me to drive for a few seconds before shutting off. While all this is happening I the kill switch was still on and key still turned. It also fluctuated between shutting off and showing an FI and shutting off with a loss of all power (no dash display or lights). Seems to only do it when I'm driving because I stopped and revved it in neutral and it did not cut out but I may have just not tried hard enough. Also it decides when it wants to start because sometimes I will turn the key and there is no power and other times ill turn the key, get power then when I try and start it it will pop and cut out. It will also sometimes turn on, start and run fine and drive fine till I really get on it and any one of the many things I listed above may happen.
What I have done so far- I put my bike in dealer mode and retrieved FI codes C32 C33 C34 & C35 which all are Injector Signal errors for injectors #1-#4. If I turn my bike on it will not display these until I drive it and force it to cut out. I have looked through my wiring but have not found any melted, cut, or stripped wires. I also have checked my connections and everything seems tight. Tip Sensor is secure. Battery seems to have a good charge and is relatively new and fuses are all good.
What I think it could be- PowerCommander is having issues, my bike was dyno tuned and the map I pulled from the commander was on a computer that crashed but I may be able to recover the hard drive. I'm thinking I might need to re-load that map or get it tuned again. Also having this shitty HotBodies undertail exhaust right by my electrical components I am worried something may have failed.
If you guys know what this issue is, have had this issue, or have any ideas please post them. I need to get this bike up soon because I use it daily.
