Honest I checked the FAQ's

What is this (see image) for? I just got the bike, new to me, no manual.

My apologies for such a simple question I am sure...

Now if someone suggests that it a threaded insert that is welded in the frame and leaves it at that... well lets just say I got friends

Seriously, my lovely bride asked me what it was for, and sheepishly I had to tell her I did not know....

Thanks in advance.

Re: Honest I checked the FAQ's

Excellent... Now my wife will be able to sleep tonight knowing the answer

But this brings up another question, my 99 750 has a factory steering damper (which seems to be leaking) and it is mounted up under the fairing....

Now I have not ridden this thing hard, and the last Suzuki I rode hard was an RG500 back in the day... but would it really need 2? Just kidding...

Now what to do about the leaking factory damper??

Remove the stock/leaking/non adjustable steering dampener and buy (my) fully adjustable/rebuildable/non leaking dampener.
