Hid Squad: Hid Group Buy #1!

As a new sponsor of GIXXER.com, we would like to start off with a nice group buy for the Suzuki GSX-R Bike Community!
  • To make this possible we will need a minimum order of 10 HID Kits, the price will be $75/each or $85 SHIPPED. Please add 3% to your total if paying through paypal.
  • You will get TWO bulbs and TWO Ballasts with this kit, which will run most bikes high and low beams.
  • ALL kits come with a 1-year NO HASSLE warranty. If something were to fail, we will give you a new piece to replace your bad one and return the bad product on our own time. We do this to ensure you always have functional lights on your motorcycle!
  • For those of you with more or less than TWO headlights or those needing a Bi-Xenon Bulb Setup please contact us directly.
  • You can choose ANY color temperature, however 3K(yellow) or anything higher than a 12K kit (14K, 20K, Green and Pink) are special order and will be charged an additional $10. All Kits are 35W.
  • All payments will be made once we reach our 10th member, we accept paypal(sent to hidsquad@gmail.com) or Credit Card by phone. Please do not put your name on the list unless you will be ready to pay once we reach 10 members.
  • Once the order is placed and we have all 10 kits paid for, we will immediately ship them out and you should receive them within 3-5 business days. You will also be able to pick them up at our vendor location at QSL's Bike Night here in Clearwater, FL.
  • We can also install these lights on your motorcycle at Quaker Steak and Lube Bike Night's every Wednesday in Clearwater, FL if you desire for an additional $25(bi-xenon kits $45). Takes approximately 45 minutes to install. Install time varies per bike, GSX-Rs are pretty difficult taking upwards of an hour, where a 636 takes about 15 minutes! 08-newer CBR1000's add $20 to the install fee due to technical difficulties.
  • It is preferred that you send payment through paypal to make the process run faster. We will send out PMs to each member once we reach our minimum to take payments.
  • We will accept more than 10 kits as long as you sign up within 12 hours of the end of the group buy!
  • ADD $10 TO YOUR ORDER TO RECEIVE OUR LED INDICATOR LIGHTS TO MATCH THE COLOR OUTPUT OF YOUR NEW HID HEADLIGHTS. See Below.

Prices are as follows:
Single Bulb Single Beam(1 Bulb / 1 Ballast): $55 SHIPPED
Single Bulb Bi-Xenon(1 Bi-Xenon Bulb / 1 Ballast): $80 SHIPPED

TWO Bulb Single Beam Kit( 2 Bulbs / 2 Ballasts): $85 SHIPPED This is the kit most bikes need for high and low beam.
TWO Bulb Bi-Xenon Kit(2 Bi-xenon Bulbs / 2 Ballasts): $105 SHIPPED *Add $45 for install.

ADD $10 TO YOUR ORDER TO RECEIVE OUR LED INDICATOR LIGHTS TO MATCH THE COLOR OUTPUT OF YOUR NEW HID HEADLIGHTS.
Suzuki GSXR Factory Headlights and Indicator Lamps

Suzuki GSXR - Factory Indicator Lamp/ HID SQUAD LED Indicator Lamps

6000K Low Beams HID / HID SQUAD LED Indicator Lamps

Disclaimer: Bi-xenon bulbs are for those who have their high and low beam in a single bulb(dual filament). You would need this kit to keep your high beam functional OR you can go with the "Two Bulb Single Beam Kit", but you will lose your high beam function.

The Kit you will receive:
TWO bulbs to fit your specific motorcycle
TWO SLIM ballasts
3M Double Side Tape

Our SLIM ballast compared to the normal HID ballasts. Makes for an easier install on a motorcycle!

6000K Low Beams HID / HID SQUAD LED Indicator Lamps

6000K Low & High Beam HIDs / HID SQUAD LED Indicator Lamps

6000K Low & High Beam HIDs / HID SQUAD LED Indicator Lamps

6000K in a GSXR600.

Copy and past this list into your post, while adding your name, bike year/model, color temperature and whether you will have them shipped or local pickup at QSL you want to the list!

Re: Hid Squad: Hid Group Buy #1!

Maybe it's a dumb question, but if the low beam halogen is 55 watt, why is the kit a 35 watt bulb? Is a 35 watt hid brighter than a 55 watt halogen? Also, I was under the impression hid's are a little slow to power up. Can you "flash" the high beam when it's hid?

Yes, your factory halogen is 55w, the HIDs are 35 watt yet they still emit over 300% more light than your halogen will. So technically your getting 3 times the light using less power. The HIDs take a few seconds to FULLY warm up to operating temp/brightness but they still light up rather quickly. You could flash still, but its not recommended to do it often.

Yes, you do not have to modify any of your factory wiring or connectors. You could take them out and plug in your original bulbs at any time if you wanted.

I'm probably game but I don't want to pay until you get much closer to 10. I'm too impatient once I send money. Do you have a 5600k kit?

I can go ahead and put you on the list, I meant to change that rule in the top post. We will accept payments when you sign up or when the group buy has reached its minimum of 10 members. But please do not sign up unless you know you can pay once we do reach that number. Thanks!

We only carry 4500(PURE WHITE) and 6000K(Slight Blue), let me know which one you would like. I prefer the 6000K.

1. sk9gsxr - 2009 GSXR 1000 / 4500 or 6000K COLOR? / SHIP Confirm
2. fivespoyshooter - K6 1000 / 6000 k / Indicator Lights / SHIP Confirm

Yes, your high beam will just be WAY brighter, so you may have more people flash you. It really depends on your area, but to answer your question yes the high beams will work just as they always have.

Re: Hid Squad: Hid Group Buy #1!

can the factory wires hold up to the power draw on startup since the HID's draw more power on startup then the standard bulbs? are we using the stock wires to power a relay which is wired to the battery or are we just using the factory wires? please let me know.

also do you sale 55w kits? if so how much brighter are they? how is the heat from the 55's? still cooler then the factory bulbs correct?

The HIDs use the factory wiring on most bikes without a problem. Some of the older pre-2000 bikes need a relay harness to draw its power from the battery, but we have not had this problem on a single Suzuki yet. The kits are directly plug and play, you do not have to modify any wires.

We do not sell the 55w kits, although some people use them I would not recommend them on a motorcycle due to the small confines of the headlight bucket/housing. The halogens do run very hot though, so not sure if the 55w would match or exceed the heat they put out.

Re: Hid Squad: Hid Group Buy #1!

Estimated life is about 3000 hours. Typically way longer than the life of most motorcycles. My partners car has a life "hour" display, he is around 45k miles and no where close to even 1000 hours just to give you reference.

No HIDs are made in the US except for Phillips or McCullough(who knows if they even really are), if you want to spend $600 on a set of HIDs, more power to ya!(I dont mean this to be rude in any way, Im just saying my personal opinion is $600 for a set of HIDs is pretty ridiculous in this day, a few years ago maybe...)
