How hard is it to remove the fairings and headlight? I need new fairings. I figured I'd go ahead and remove the old ones. So when I get the new ones in. I could slap them on and be ready to ride. I'm going to be ordering at the end of this month. After I get back from out of town. I'll probably change the oil, plugs/wires, brakes and coolant while it's stripped. Might as well knock out all the maintenance while it's naked right?
I go arrested once for running around naked high on mushrooms. (True story). Oh, sorry you wanted to know about the headlight. It can be a bitch the first time you do it. Do you have a manual? That will help you see the fastners, just take your time and you will get it. Dont force anything.

It's pretty self explanatory once you get going. Take off the sides, 3 allen bolts on the top and 1 on the bottom each side. 2 push pins on the front upper inner wheel well thing and another pin on top of the intake vent. Take off the mirrors. From there you can remove the fairing stay from the frame (2 bolts) which will release the whole front end and give you more room to work. from there start taking off screws, I think there's 6 or 8 to get the headlight out. Just remeber how the wiring harness routes to the back of the headlight for reassembly.
