Getting everything back together and can't remember what these plugs are for or where they go...

Are they on the front or main harness?

the first is on the front harness that comes from the gauges and runs back
The second is part of the harness that runs all the way forward and plugs into the harness fom the gauges.
... if that makes sense...
I cant find anything anywhere around these 2 plugs that they would connect to

i have the same two plugs on mine that i have benn riding unplugged for two seasons now and am very curious what they do as well

It looks like the brake light switch plug but it could be the squid over ride safety switch plug as well.

yeah thinking thats the squid over ride as well.
I dont think they were plugged into anything cuz I cant find anything for them. Started up and ran fine without them.

Well...since both are wired so close to the harness itself, It stands to reason the some sort of accessory (fan/handlebar switch/etc) would get plugged into it?

I'm in Australia.
I have owned 96 750 since new & also cannot work out this plug.
My bike has it, pass sig's are working, as are all front electrics...
