I hate netscape. I hate all of the terminals where I work, its all stoneage shit, NT 4.0 O/S, 6gig hd's, 512mb ram, on some P2's
I only have net access because I know more than the IT dept.

my company loves netscape
that is all
this makes no sense, I am bored at work
I need to find a new job

That's some hitech stuff ya got there.

We have 90mhz Pentiums, Win98, 64MB ram, 1.5 Gig harddisks ... And that was the upgrade from 286, 386 & 486 dos machines just 2 short years ago. Grrrrr. I had the only windows 3.x and was surfing the internet with it. Netscape was it's saving grace as 3.x IE would just crash at the java sites. 4.5 Netscape kept it limping along.

Hear ya. I know more than the IT, too.

Do you have local administrative rights? Install mozilla firefox. If you can't install programs locally, see if you can download version .70 of mozilla firebird...it doesn't require you to really install anything. You just have to extract it to someplace on the hard drive. Firefox may be the same way, but I'm not posative. It's small and quick. http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/why/

However, Mozilla has evolved a lot since the older versions of netscape (4.x). Try out Firefox, it's not just a scaled down version of mozilla. It's completely rewritten to be really small and fast. No BS, it works really well.

Try using Opera. It is my favorite browser yet.
