Re: full tune up

I would have the shop do it if they are going to be checking the injector flow, timing, valves ect ect ect.

Re: full tune up

I paid $500 for mine with parts so consider yourself lucky. Worth the price for the peace of mind getting the engine checked out.

ummm the topic says full tune up not basic tune up.

Re: full tune up

Got the entire engine checked out, the 16k maintenance is supposed to be an important one. I'd take it to a shop, im guessing you wouldnt know how to do a valve adjustment.

Re: full tune up

I'm pushing 60,000 miles of hard riding,no commuting on my 05 600 and I've done all the maint. my self. Valve adjustment once at 32K, on my second clutch, few sets of plugs, on my third chain, second sprocket, re-charged K&N a few times, manual cam chain tensioner, radiator flush twice, new throttle cable, new fuel sending unit to fix low fuel light going bad, suspension re-freshed, tons of oil changes with Motul which I've used since day one, and that's about it. Nothing out of the ordinary...and nothing too expensive.
