Two easy questions for you.

1. How do I get windows that I open by clicking on a link in IE6 to open maximized? It just started doing it. It opens at half size and I have to click the maximize square everytime.

2. When I hover over the clock on my PC at work, the day and date does not pop up in front of the clock. I can see the top of the pop up behind my start up bar.

Thank you,

Re: Two easy questions for you.

1. All you should have to do is max. the IE then close it that way. It should come up max size from then on.

2. Not sure. I think it's a glitch. It happenes to me as well when I auto-hide the taskbar. If you ever find out post up

Re: Two easy questions for you.

if your using the shortcut in the quick launch bar, easy way is to right click on it, go to properties, when it comes up there will be a field that says "Run" with a drop down menu, select "Maximized" from that menu, and that should do it

Re: Two easy questions for you.

Thanks SF'nG,
No, I'm talking about when I click on hyper links on a page that takes you to another page and opens a whole new window (half size).

Re: Two easy questions for you.

Im pretty sure its in the registry. Search regedit for web adresses you have in the address bar of IE.

Look around in that section of your registry. On the left pane you should see something like Document Windows after you find the web adress that coresponds to the one saved in the adress bar.

Around there are values for size as well as if it should start maximized or not.

Re: Two easy questions for you.

By the way, you do the above by going Run -> Regedit and then using the Find utility within.

Re: Two easy questions for you.

It didn't work. Does anyone have any ideas. Every PC web forum I am on can't answer it. Must be harder than I thought.
