still dying for my 750

I am new to the forum so hello gixxer fans. In about 2 months i will be picking up my new gsxr 750. Oh man! This seems like its taking forever. At least being in here with other gixxer fans posting pics of their bikes is helping cushion the blow. I was wondering how long to break the bike in before i can have some real fun? Oh should i use octane booster with 93 octane fuel? Thank you for the help.

Do not add anything to the fuel.

Did someone say octane booster?

Dont use this stuff, apparently it doesnt work, and the real stuff is useless.

NO OCTANE BOOST!!!

2 ways to break it in
1. As per OEM Manual
2. As per Mototune's article http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

You pick your poision, other then that follow the maintenance schedule and she'll treat you well.

As for me, i just got on and rode, i didn't beat the piss out of it but i didnt exactly conform to OEM standards either. i babyed her for the first 100 miles then i rode like i normally ride (street riding) with the occasional high rpm pull. I think everyone will agree on 1 thing.... change your oil early, 100-200 miles and let the bike warm up before you ride it (at least to 120-130 degrees) other then that people opinions will differ on a break in but i dont think either way or a combination of both is wrong, just your choice.

One thing to add on the break-in...whatever method you choose, just make sure you vary your RPMs and use engine breaking. Don't sit at a constant RPM for too long.
