My uncle had one laying around and we're gonna go dove hunting when the season opens on the 1st (didn't wanna be shooting dove with my bolt action) so he let me use it at the range today. He's got more guns than he knows what to to with, didn't really have room for this one so said I could hang on to it for as long as I want....so I basically got that new(ish) 12 gauge I've been wanting
It's a little worn, has a bunch of scratches and a little bit of rust/loss of bluing on the outer part of the barrel, but the inside of the barrel is spotless and still shoots great. I'm still getting used to it, the best I shot today was 18/25 which isn't so great but I'm sure I'll get better as I use it more. Definitely different than my 16 gauge.
Just looked up the serial number and the gun was made in 1949, so it's not in bad shape for a 60 year old gun.
