06/07 upper triple tree clamp, clip ons, master cylindar swap.

Anyone know if this is possible?

I'd want to swap my dull and somewhat scratched upper fork clamp with one off an 06 or 07. I know the forks are the same dimension so if I can get an 06/07 upper, clip ons, brake reservior and brake/clutch handles would the swap be possible?

I like the throttle/brake lines to run under as well for a more clean look. What problems would I run into?

Thanks!

You'd be better off just getting a newer 04 triple. There's no advantages to the setup you suggest, and its more of a PITA than its worth.

+1 on pita, just depends how much work u want to put into it, if u got time and patience go ahead, if u don't, then don't bother

I think anotherbend is just showing off with nothing to add. Fork size and offset is the same between models but the steering stem diameter is different (smaller on the 04/05) if you have a friend with a lathe it is as simple as a brass bushing
