I'm using Chevron 92 octane. I think thats the highest they have at gas stations. Is Arco AM PM any good? I found that it's really cheap. My bike is a 97 GSXR600. What type of gas you guys find that's good?

I use 87 octane, even on the race track. Anything else is a waste of money unless you run race gas or your motor isn't stock.
That depends on your bike...I only run 92 or higher since my R1 had a sticker right on the tank not to run anything lower than 91 or 92 I don't remember I pulled it off. I mostly run Sunoco or Amoco...i never put Hess or Exxon gas in my bike...stuff runs like crap in everything i own.
I try to get 94 Ultra from Sunoco. Other than that, any 93 or higher. Doesnt seem to make a shit bit of difference.
I ran 100 octane from Delta Sonic once, didnt seem to make the bike run any different, but it sure smells good.

Don't waste your money for the extra 1 octan of the 94, it doesn't make a lick of difference from the 93.
there was an interesting article posted a while back stating why 87 octane was the best. To sum it up it said gas has a "shelf life" just like any other product, and since 87 is used the most it is always fresher. Sounded good enough for me so I switched (used to only use 93) to 87 and I swear my bike ran alot better. Maybe it was mind games I dont know, but its only 87 for me. Hell of alot cheaper too. p.s. SRAD's only require 87 (according to the manual).
87 octane has a lower flash point and on a small 4 cyl engine like ours it ought to be more than enough to prevent detonation in a stock engine personally I use vp ultimate 4 in my race bike which has a motor octane rating of 92.2 which is probably about 95-97 r+m2 but I run it for the oxygen content not octane a good for instance is vp mr9 ( the one the top ama racers use ) has a motor rating of 87octane so that said unless you run a huge ignition advance and a milled head even premium isn't needed
you guys really should be using anything OTHER than Sunoco Ultra 94. First of all, the extra octane will not do anything for power, in fact, you might even lose power. Second, Sunoco uses a VERY high percentage of Ethanol to bring the octane up to 94. Ethanol is not good at all for any parts made of aluminium, in our case, our whole engine and fuel lines. Also, there is no higher oxygen content in Ultra 94 so why bother? if anything, just run a normal premium gas if you have to go premium. I run 89 btw. 48,000 km on the motor with a few trackdays and lots of hard street riding, no problems at all.
I run 91octane(CA highest rated gas) at the 76 station. I didn't want to run anything lower because I didn't want the engine to knock. But since you guys said its fine to run 87, I'll try it and see if anything changes
I run 93 octane leaded from Shell. I have tried running unleaded but the bike did not feel as good. We only get 93 either leaded or unleaded where i live ,which is at 1600 metres above sea level. I have seen some 102 octane race fuel ,,would it make a difference?
the first time i filled up with sunoco 94, my bike ran like total crap and i had to limp and sputter my way for a 45min ride to get home. more than likely i just got a bad tank o gas, but from then on i only use premium grades.
