I currently have Michelin pp 2ct front and rear, but it is time for a new rear. So, I am wondering if i should just get another pp 2ct rear, or get a road 2ct rear? Would the road and pp be an acceptable combination, or not a good idea? I never do any really aggressive riding, and i have separate wheels for the track. Thanks in advance.
I have Road 2cts on my bike. Great grip completely leaned over & i have put 9,000 miles on them. If ya got the another set of wheels for the track, why not go with the roads for street & pps on the track?

Road 2ct...even with aggressive street riding they'd do fine.

You'll be fine with that setup. No place to push those tires beyond their limits on Florida roads anyway.
I think you'd do just fine with a road2ct on the rear. I haven't tried them on a gixxer yet, but I just put a new pair of road2ct's on the gf's sv650. I took it out to shake it down and scrub the tires in for her, and those tires held great, even at a pace that I won't discuss in a public forum.
