Finally

I've been wanting to learn how to spin my bike on the kickstand for a long time now. I've been scared that i would drop it though. I've halfheartedly tried it a number of times, but never really came close to doing it. Today, I just said screw it, i didn't get it around in one turn, but dammit i did it. Did it all day and now i can do it fairly well. It's so much easier than backing it up and making a 16 point turn to get out of somewhere! I also broke another barrier today. I got it on and off the rearstand by myself. Some may laugh at my complications with these 2 things, but when you only weigh 130 on a good day, it's a good accomplishment i'd say. All in all, it was a pretty good day. 70 degree weather in November to boot. Carry on!

Re: Finally

If you continue to do this often, please check the mounting of the kickstand often as it may loosen up on you causing an unplanned dropping of your bike, as it is not designed to bear the entire weight of the bike even if you do get a way with it for a while.

The hardest thing for me is keeping the front tire up and not sliding across the ground while spinning it. Other than that, i would just say it takes practice.

Re: Finally

i don't think it'll break bolts, but i used to do that and i'm pretty sure my kickstand is bent a little now and as such the bike leans more than it should on the kickstand, not that that makes that big of a difference. for awhile i was having problems with the kickstand killswitch getting tripped while i was riding and that may have had something to do with it

Re: Finally

I will say that CBR600's are SUPER easy to do. The bottom of our kickstand is kinda triangle shaped that makes it hard.... theirs are small and square
