TL1000 can on GSXR 600

Anyone know if one of the TL1000 cans would bolt straight onto a GSXR 600 K2? If so, is this a really dumb thing to do (I'm not really worried about 1 or 2 HP lost or gained)??

Re: TL1000 can on GSXR 600

I'm pretty sure the boltons are the same.

I know the K4 bolton was the same as the K1-K3. My brother's TL1000R appears to have the same pattern on the bolts. If I had any of my old K4 parts left I could check, but I gave them away when I sold the bike.

If you can get the measurements on what you have now, I'll measure the stockers he has laying around from the TL.

Nice one, much appreciated. I'll measure now and post them up ASAP. Thanks again.

ok, 50mm centre to centre across the top and 70mm same down the verticle... that make sense? (rectangle four bolt 50 X 70mm). What'dya reckon?

Re: TL1000 can on GSXR 600

The difference on some of the bolt on's was the angle of the plate on the can... Some bikes were straight, some had an angle, and my memory has faded as far as what had what. But the bolt pattern should be the same, as well as the bolts. Some of the older cans were 3 bolt instead of 4, but that should not be a problem here.
