trying to read a cdr, saying it's different file system.

Ok so I crashed a few weeks back, and I am trying to reinstall some stuff that I had from the last few years. I had the data burned to a CD-R and closed to read from anything. I have opened stuff off it several times, but now sudently it won't read.

It's label shows up under D:, and it says it's 649mb or whatever, but the strange thing is when i look at properties, it's file system is reading as " IVIUDFS " instead of "CDFS" which is what other CD-R's read as.

It's not scratched too badly, and used to work fine. Is there something I can use to open the disc to read correctly, or something I can change in the file options to let me get the data again? Never seen something like this.

I tried to view hidden's also, no go.

Interestingly enough, I just googled and came up with this:
http://swlradio.no-ip.com/IVIUDFS/

But it talks about dvds. Could have been the program that wrote the disk.

yeah, i replied back with that link, but somehow the reply never went through

Handy fix though. I use an Asus board, which came with some of the InterDVD players and other accessories. Because of that, the files were keeping me from accessing data. So I just went in and re-named that file and walaa, problem gone.

I love google.

Sometimes it takes looking at it from another angle. Good luck bro!
