front fairing removal. help

how do you remove the front fairing as a unit?
i have the air scoops out, the mirrors loose, some screws out, and it still seems like it is connected under the quage cluster, is there a bolt back there holding it all together? any help is appreciated!!!! thanks.

You should be able to remove the whole front unit but sometimes it can take a little wiggling and pulling to get it off. There's nothing connected under the cluster. Just make sure you take out all the screws and try again.

well i just got out of class so ill try again, i have poor lighting so that doesnt help either. thanks

you need to take the mirrors all the way off and take all the screws out. if you look at the headlight there are I think 4 rubber grommets that are on the headlight. The upper fairing has plastic things on it. they look like screws but they are not. there are a couple of ways to get it off. I got one of them loose and once I got one the rest of them were easy. I know this might not make any sense but I don't know what everything is called. hope this helps.

well i finally got it!!!
i needed to get it off so i can work on the air ducts, head lights and just general cleaning... i knew i could get... its kinda a pain to do by yourself with out scratching something for sure!!!!
did alot of that for sure!!!!
