Just installed my R-55.full system with pc3, I wa riding just now and the bike FI light came on the the engine shut off, I'm thinking the its the spark plugs, the pc3 was mapped for the bike, anyone have any idea what it could be other than the plugs?
Alright, I'll try that tonight it stillon the back of my buddies truck, had to a to stop for a drink snd watch the game after this.
Thanks for the help
Yea try unplugging the pc3 and starting. If still nothing next thing to check would be your fuse. Just keep filling in and im sure your be able to troubleshoot the problem here.
i checked all the connection, everything was perfect. pulling it off my buddies truck it started but while trying to ride up the driveway the engine cut out, re mapped the pc3 started fine, but is there something else that could be the cause here?

i removed the set valve, pulled the #5 wire out, the o2 plug is disconnected, i went over every connection they are all secure.; the only connection i have yet to check is the tps wire tap. my other problem is my pc3 doesn't power up for mapping unless the bike is running. Even after connecting a 9volt battery to it, at first i thought i had a dead battery so i bought a brand new 9volt.
the bike was running perfectly for about 30 mins. Then a cloud of smoke was blowing out of the pipe before it died on me, i'm thinking that was due to the bike running to rich?

Make sure you put the blank connector in the o2 sensor, although i'm sure that has nothing to do with it. The pc3 should only power up when you switch the bike to the on position. I'm not sure where you would have connected a 9v to it??? You don't have the battery cord attached to the pc3, while it's on the bike do you?

Ya sounds like it's running way too rich... I don't think it would be your TPS wire, though. Sounds like you either have the wrong map flooding the engine, or you have something that's not connected that should be...
Actually, bike sounds like it's being flooded. Probably the reason why it won't start afterwards. Either you don't have the right map correctly loaded and the pc3 is making it run extremely rich, or you changed the adjustment on the pc3. Once you have the correct map you won't need to adjust anything on the pc3...
Also, make sure there are not cuts into the wiring harness. They can also create a short. Go over all the wires and make sure they look ok. Tape them up if need be...

Re: bike died while riding just installed R-55
It's difficult to resolve this from a distance... I've installed my full system and pc3 and everything went great (without any experience!). I guess something isn't plugged in right but what...that's the question...!
If you went over and made sure everything was correctly installed including the map, then I bet its something with the wiring harness. It's either picking up interference or something is cut.
