Brake fluid on speedo, how to get it clear again?

Whenever i was bleeding my front reservior i got some fluid on my speedo without knowing. Now im stick with this dripping line that "ate away" of my plastic. It wont come off with soap and water, or windex but i was wondering if there was another way. Wet sand with really fine great paper? Or am i stuck buying a new one? Would show a pic but pretty self explanitory.

Could try using something like T-Cut. I know there's an abrasive product for mobile phone screens, its like a paste you just rub on. May be worth a try?

It likely is damaged beyond repair. You can't recover chemical damage on clear lens plastic.

If it ate into it, it's beyond help. If it just made a surface stain, try Novus Plastic polish, 3 is coarse, 2 medium, 1 is for finish. If it's too much for 3 to help, start with 400 wet paper, than 600, than 800, than the Novus. I've fixed a bunch of damaged gauge screens for diving & when done you would never know there was damage. Takes time & patience but little money.
