What are you favorite Olympic events?
I'm partial to the men's team handball and badminton. Those are the events I had tickets to when the games were held in ATL. Women's volleyball and beach volleyball are pretty good, too.
In general, I just love the Olympics. The thought of the whole world sending their best to compete and forget about the other political bs for a bit really brings out the idealist in me. Yeah that has been tainted plenty of times with terrorist acts (before my lifetime) boycotts, and war during the games, but still.
My grandfather was supposedly bound for the Olympics as a rower in 1940, but that got interrupted.
As a triathlete, I get excited about the Tri, and the running/cycling/swimming events since I've been active in them. Back in 2001 I was training in hopes of making the trials for this year's olympics, but a stress fracture ended those thoughts.
Women's beach volleyball is my favorite to watch though
I'll probably be watching the games almost every chance I get, no matter what's on.

I like track, swimming, rowing, archery, boxing, shooting. I want to catch the cross country horse racing, I heard there are a lot of brutal accidents.

So, what are your favs?
wow, i think i found the 1 person in the USA that actually likes badminton!
usually, people laugh at me when i tell them i play badminton to stay in shape. most of North America don't understand the game and think it's a backyard game.
i watch anything that is showing. rowing, volleyball, anything and everything.
I'll watch pretty much anything on the Olympics (except curling LOL!). As far as the summer games go, any of the track and field events (in particular sprinting), gymnastics (men and women), diving, and women's volley ball especially.
Gymnastics, Diving, Swimming, Beach Volleyball, and Cycling.
If it wasn't for my stupid knee injury, I'd be competing for a chance to be in the next winter olympics... Might still try to if my knee has healed up enough.
Any Cycling (shocking huh?), swimming, sailing, diving, volleyball, some gymnastics, some track and field. But overall I just watch it for the spectacle of the event. I may not be a fan of the event, but it's still on.
