New Guy & Need Some Help!

Hello everyone I just registered for the site as i am looking to become a proud new owner soon. Im looking forward to contributing to the forums and learning a few things also.

I do need some advice though. I am currently looking at a 07 gsx600 for sale. I went and looked at the bike the other day and it was very clean. The bike has around 4000 miles on it and he is asking $6,500. What do you guys think should i go for it?

Welcome to the site.............sounds like a good deal...........does it have any aftermarket parts?
How many time has he changed the oil?

and for a bike with only 4000 miles on it, it should only have 2 or 3 oil changes... it could have more, but if he says that it has only ever had 1, or none... I would be a little cautious... but 2 or 3 would be right on schedule.

its ok to ask about oil changes but too easy to lie about it and with 4k on the odometer it really won't be a factor. you can't see inside the engine. If you are that particular about it, ask him to take it to a reputable dealer and have them do a pre-buy inspection and see if thats a fair price.
