600 SRAD - cuts out with new Rectifier

Just replaced the rectifier, and still it cuts out on me. Looked at the plug from the wiring harness and its fine. The bike did go down once, and since then its been an issue, not consistent, just random acts of shutting down or sounding like a Diesel or a sound that you might get when a engine runs on 3 cylinders. Any ideas would help. Thank-you.

Re: 600 SRAD - cuts out with new Rectifier

how hard did it go down?

might be:

SIMPLE -

- loose kickstand

NOT SIMPLE -

cam chain tensioner
clogged fuel injector (if you are FI)
sticky / dirty carbs (if you are carbed)
tip sensor may be faulty

the fall may have let loose some gunk in your fuel path...check everything.

or perhaps your piston rings have gone bad.

mine is in the shop for the same reason

Re: 600 SRAD - cuts out with new Rectifier

cool thanks man, i'll look into all that.
it was low speed endo/crash.
the funny thing is that it runs fine (10min - well over an hour) and then out of the blue it will start stalling out. i wait a few min and then ride for another 30min. then stalls out again, after that it need a good hour cool down. dont know what to say.

look at the sticky in this forum about cam chain tensioners, that might be your problem if it sounds like a diesel motor

Re: 600 SRAD - cuts out with new Rectifier

if its the cam chain tensioners, would it happen all the time, not just randomly. cuz it runs super smooth for some time and then it cut out/starts stalling out.
hmmm....
but i will look into that, thanks.

talked to my friend about it and he says it sounds more like a twin not a diesel. if that helps.
