Do you think i can do it .... CCT replacement (UPDATED WITH VIDEO)

as some of you may know from previous posts i'm by no means a mechanic but i'm capable of simple work with good instructions ... i have suzukis repair manual but find that rather vague and not always very strait forward

so ... i've seen two posts on how to replace the CCT

1) the sticky (of course), detailed but w/o pics hard for me to understand completely

2) this website (http://www.billsbikesnservice.com/apemcct.htm)

The website doesn't do anything with zip-ties and rotating the crank, this i could do i know from just reading.

But being that the bike on the site isn't a SRAD, could i still do it the way he did. Or is zip ties and all the extra stuff on the sticky necessary?

My fear is messing up, like everyone else, and i'm scared to see what the shop is going to put up as a bill. ( i'm a college student = no money )

I've heard of people doing it without taking off the valve cover but then you run the risk of the chain jumping when you remove the tensioner.

ain't nothing like a Chinese dude reading French directions

i agree....i just did mine like 4 days ago. If you are unsure...then dont do it. Its about as easy as picking your nose...for someone who is mechanically inclined.
