Got My New K8 Gsxr600 But Need Help With To Eliminate Rear Fender

Hello fellow gixxer enthusiasts,

i am first of all brand new to this website, riding, and the gixxer. must say that by testing out other bikes, nothing compares to the gsxr, hence my new bike. anyway let's get to the point.

so i take my new bike home, look at what i want to do with it, list the things i want to change and now in the seeking advice process. first and most important to me on my list, according to the appearance of the bike of course, is the ugly fender on the back for which the licence plates are mounted on. this is what ive studied on so far in dumbed down terminology:

1. buy an undertail, which means i have to buy this "thing" that makes me place the plates somewhere near the inside on top of the rear tire
2. save money and do it myself.

only thing that im confused about is the lighting thing i hear people write about. something about indicators and wires and stuff. aren't there indicators on the back of the tail??

can someone please help me out?

I looked at the bike in person. It's 4 bolts whats the problem?

the problem is the wires and lights...i have no idea what licence plate lights are...i supposedly supposed to have them on at night or else cops will pull me over...
