Estoril

Is anyone going and wants to meet up with an Aussie. I've got a business trip to Europe but have the weekend of 7 September planned to go to Portugal. Just let me know and we can have a beer or two

Re: Estoril

... did it the last two years on the bounce and its a great place to watch the racing, but not going this year .
Went to Brno last weekend instead ... what a ferkin race that was eh!?!
I watched from Stand E (I think), over on the back side of the circuit, there are several sections where you can see and hear the bikes real close up, but also get good views of many parts of the circuit, including the dog legged straight, long fast hairpin (usually a couple of offs there ) and a short straight leading into the tight twisty bit over the back (where Fonsi Nieto did his 720° spin last year in the rain before remounting and winnning ).
Whilst yer there check out the amazing beach near Cascais called Guincho (said: "Gwinschuu") ... try some Medrono too (said: Medroanio) - stuff is lethally good fun!
Galau is the best style of coffee to drink there (bit like a latte served in a glass), and if you are into Prawns, then you is in the right place ... try some of the Flambe/house special recipes, they rock!! Roast/BarbQ chicken (piri-piri style) is also a must.

Hope it don't rain for yas like it did last year
If I manage to persuade my woman to change our holiday plans and head to Portugal again instead of Southern Spain, then I'll let you know (and see you there?!) ... otherwise, have a good 'un!
Later

Re: Estoril

Use of international sign language always helps ... ie point to map showing grandstand, point to self etc worked well for me!

Important language stuff ... phonetically spelt
Un Shervesha - one bier
Una Shervesha granday - one large bier (even more useful eh!?)
Dosh Sherveshash - two biers (if you are not alone!)
Gambash - prawns
Shi vash favor - please (!!!)
Obrigado - thanks
muito bomm - (that was) very good, tasty ...
Un garaff Dao - a bottle of the (better tasting) Porutguese red wine

Check the map too (nice editing huh!?!) - we sat where I have marked it in RED (most of the Ptgse folk sit there too and it has a good atmosphere usually!).
Yellow bits are parts of the track you can see from here, most of which you can see from sitting on the front section, but if you wanna see the bikes as slow speed, you can wander around and watch over the back ... TV screen is just off the yer right, take some binoculars if you wanna make out the writing / lap times etc

Not sure where section B is and what you can see from there!?!?

Enjoy dude ...
