Fairing hitting my leg ????? Advise please

Hey all,
I took delivery of my 07 750 about 3 weeks ago. Since then I have added a taller OEM windscreen, Gel padded seat, and fender eliminator. I love the bike, but am having a serious issue I may not be able to resolve so any help would be appreciated.

I have tried to adjust the pegs in all positions, but what happens, and mainly on my left leg is where the fairing comes back to a point, just below where the seat meats the gas tank, it pokes my leg bone a few inches below my knee. I did not even notice it on my test ride, or I may not have bought it.

Anyway, with the pegs back it is not as bad, but then my knees are cramped pretty bad. I was hoping that someone out there made a different plate to adjust the footpeg down and back, instead of up and back??? Perhaps a custom fairing that is not so long or pointed there? Last resort some sort of padding that would not be so ugly?

Also I am wondering can someone point me towards some handlebar risers, and if anyone has any experience or recommendations I would appreciate it.

buy some adjustable rear sets. and your local race shop or any aluminium fabricator should be able to do you up a mounting plate to allow you to move them back and down.

traditionally, aftermarket rear sets raise the height to allow greater road clearance when cornering.

thanks for the advice... I will check with my dealer this weekend. It is such a bummer as I love the bike, just find I still ride my F4i more often cause of the leg thing.

Any thoughts on bar risers?

First question is damn dude, how tall are you? A temporary fix may be to just slide farther back on the seat when you ride until you can figure out a better solution. I'm not trying to be a dick but if you're looking into risers and peg positions that won't cramp your knees up maybe something like a VFR would have been a better bike?

Sell the fairings and make it a street fighter, problem solved.

did the bike you test rode have a gel seat? maybe the seat change your position just enough that you bump the fairing. just a thought...

The area below my knee hits from time to time also... just ride with your legs out from the bike instead of tucked in, or scoot your ass back, or put your tip toes on the pegs and lift your knees above the fairing, or stick with the f4i man.
Oh yeah helibars make some good risers so I've heard, I'm getting some in the next month or so... I'll let you know when I get em if you're still interested
