Re: Did the L1/L2 Keith Code School and had a BLAST!
Throttle control was the big thing. Basically the "job" of the rider is to have stability. The single biggest thing the rider can control is the throttle.
Other skills are visual skills, which really open the track up. Some of the stuff he says, you think, "Duh!", but it's amazing how many bad habits a person can have without really knowing they're bad. The drills that he has you do are very specific/simple in nature, and they build on each other.
Send me an e-mail with your questions, and I'll gladly answer as best I can.

Yeah, I used their bikes. If you do use their bikes, you put down a $1000 deposit. One of the guys in the class crashed. Nothing major, but a lot of cosmetic damage. Bill: $800. I was glad I didn't crash.
I rode the hang-off bike, the camera bike, the skid bike (where you lock up the front tire). Pretty cool stuff.

They did have the video bike. I got on it once early during the first day, and I looked awful. I also wasn't rolling on the throttle soon enough.
When I had my chance to get on the bike a second time, I didn't do it because I was improving and was really getting into the flow of the track, and changing bikes would have thrown me off a bit.
They did give you the tape (miniDV) afterwards, so that was cool.
