We have something in the US called a judicial sytem..officers arrest, DA office litigates the case, Judge gives out punishment.

Billions, not really there are costs/benefits for both sides of this issue...But, next time you buy produce,chicken, pork or beef move the cost over by 1 decimal point. Going out to eat, add 20-30% to your bill.....we all enjoy the benefits of having a silent workers class willing to work for crap wages.
And what are we going to do?? Round up 12-20 million people, and deport them?? ANd where will this billions of $$ come from to pay for this? I am not advocating an all out come to America border dash...But, maybe if we get these folks to be part of our system, we all win.

To answer your other question if i knowingly lied on my taxes. Ignored them when they tried to correct it and ran from them when they showed up at the door then yes i would deserve to get shot.
i have no problem with mexicans coming to this country but there is a system in place and they need to follow the rules. I'm not saying the system is right or fair but it is the way it is.

Just not the brown people who take all the work in my area because they work for below minimum wage and send all the money back to their country so that more people can get across the border and do the same damn thing!
