I need a 1 piece suit, but am not having any luck. I also don't want to spend a truck load of cash either. I will be racing in a mini bikes this season, so they will get scuffed, so used ones will do the trick.
I have only tried on a Frank Thomas suit in an 8, but it was too big in the waist & in the sides of the torso. I am 5'7", 36C, 27, 39.
What price range are you looking at?? In Australia at the moment there are about 3 or 4 ladies one piece suits on the market rangeing from $1000au to about 2500au... which ROUGHLY converts to about $800us upward. I had been looking for a second hand suit for a while and the reality is there aren't enough girl riders around to provide a huge market of secnd hand LADIES leathers. Then there's an even smaller percentage of girl riders that would have a full suit... and then be looking to sell it. Not sure how the situation for girl riders over there is, but this is what I've found in Queensland, Australia.
Dianese is making some PIMP suits for girls but they would be out of your price range...Alpinestars has the Stella 'Julie' suit that looks pretty cool..They also have the TX-1 2 piece suit which is nice because the jacket looks good even without the pants (which have kneepucks also by the way). My girl has the jacket and loves it. Joe Rockets website is down right now but you might wanna check them out also. Dont know if they make a full set of leathers for women but Arlen Ness makes some really nice jackets for women so they may make a suit too.
I actually have an Ixon 'Fantastic' Leather jacket and bought a pair of Ixon Igaune leather pants with knee sliders that zip up together all the way around. If you have a leather jacket maybe look into buying just some leather pants that will zip up to it? I was going to fork out $1'100AU for a one peice suit but ended up only spending $385AU on some pants and sliders
DONT GO CHEAP WITH LEATHERS BUY THE BEST YOU CAN GET? I NEVER HALF STEP ON LEATHERS.
Hey TMGPGirl, I have the same problem...in Spain!
Usually girl's suits are made just to look good. I'll be trying the Stella Julie and the "You" from dainese. I have a two-into-one suit now, the Vulcan TT from Dainese, but I had to taylor it so that it was comnfortable. Good luck..let's see if the start thinking about us soon!! :mad
ACT Racing has a suit for females. Here's the latest I put together for a female rider. It's not up on their site yet and I don't have any pics of the real suit as it hasn't been made yet. This isn't the first female suit that ACT has done so I'll see about getting some pics.
If you are interested let me know. You can get a custom suit for a really good price (Should be well under $1000). The quality is great as I wear an ACT suit and they sponsor quite a few racers including Scott Jensen #61 AMA Superbike.
