Ok, took bike for safety last week after working on it for the last little while, and... I failed!
Bad tire and one of my headlights burned out on the way there... odd.. but it was true.
Anyway, got a new front tire and did my forks at the same time. Replaced the headlight and took it back to the shop today where they OK'd it. Got everything switched and etc.
After work, I went for a ride with a buddy of mine. Little 3 hour tour just kicking around the city and enjoying my new ride (the most I'd ridden up until this point was very, very little).
The bike ran good, but I am having a small problem. Seems it likes to sit at 3k sometimes after coming to a stop. A blip or 3 and she comes back down to 1200. I'm hoping to give the carbs a gooooood cleaning in the next week or 2, and hopefully that will fix that (started happening after riding for 40 minutes or so).
I'd really like to thank Richard (2wicked) for all his help in getting me what I needed and being an all around nice guy to answer a few of my questions, as well as the mad props he gave me about my chaing guard
Weee.. my season started today... too bad the forecast is not in my favour for the weekend.
