My SV

Just to keep a little life in the SV forum and maybe inspire a couple of you:

'99 SV650S with ~60K miles on it and still running strong. Checked the valves not too long ago and they haven't needed adjustment yet


Mods:

Chassis:
- Showa fork from a 600 SRAD
- SRAD front wheel and rotors
- 6-piston Tokico calipers, M/C and steel braided lines from a 750 SRAD
- Showa rear shock from a Honda RC36
- Michelin Pilot Powers currently, PP 2CT next time

Motor, drivetrain, etc.:
- Arrow exhaust, full race with aluminium can
- K&N air filter
- Rejetted for the above
- G-Pack
- +3 JT steel rear sprocket

Bodywork, etc.:
- HammerIt lower fairing
- Powerbronze seat cowl
- Powerbronze undertray
- MRA DB smoked screen
- Duke turn signals
- '03-'04 GSX-R1000 race fairing for track use (not shown)


Various:
- Home built rearsets, inverted pattern
- B&G Racing frame sliders
- Velcro for the AIM lap timer normally on my race bike (750 SRAD)
- Spools for rear stand
- Gixxer.com sticker


I used to have a resprung stock fork on it but sold the complete front (fork, wheel, brakes, etc.) to a friend of mine who has a GS. The upgraded SV parts (had steel braided lines and better pads too) are much better than his stock GS parts so win/win situation for both


Disclaimer: Yeah, it's not clean - but I'm also still riding in the middle of winter in a temperate (to put it nicely) zone

Thanks - and exactly If I wanted to polish, I'd have bought a Hardley

Both pics are with the old upgraded stock front, BTW. What a difference with the SRAD front. Definately recommendable

Haha, thats a sweet deal! Suzuki's website does a poor ass job of explaining and detailing their products, it would serve their image well if they re-designed the whole thing because it's so basic and banal. By the way did you happen to read my Leo Vince thread?
