a nice christmas story....

somewhat.

so i was at work this morning in one of my grocery stores. this homeless
guy walks up to the front door, unshaven, shirtless, jacked up nasty pants, and NO SHOES OR SOCKS. mind you it is finally getting cold in so cal. (mid 40's or so) the dude is straight up freezing. i think damn i should buy him some socks or something...but he has no shoes and they will tear up in no time. so i just ignore him. well a customer has walked in shopped and is in the checkout line. he says to the checker, here ma'am take my
shoes and give them to the homeless guy that has just entered your store. they were damn near new black hightops, nike or something. i was
in total shock, how awesome it was for this guy to give up his shoes for another human being. i am sure he had to go back home to get some new shoes before starting his day. (it was 6:30am or so) well the store employees are all cheerful and looking everywhere for this guy. i called the wife and told her, we were all stoked and def in the christmas spirit.
well they never did find him....the reason.....he grabbed some breakfast
pastries and walked through the store really quick taking bites of them.
he left half eatin pastries all through the store. he had to leave in a hurry and missed his free shoes. what a tool, but a million kudos to the guy who
left that vons in carlsbad with no shoes!!!! sorry for the long story!
