How to Adjust SET Valve.

Hey guys. I tried doing some searching on this topic but i didnt find any... maybe i just didnt search the right terms?! Anyhow my SET valve keep triggering my FI light. Does anyone have a electronic form of the service manual that says how to do the adjustment? I would greatly appreciate it as i do not want the stealership touching my bike.

Re: How to Adjust SET Valve.

I think he is looking for the factory service way of adjusting it. But just removing that wire to the ecu and taking the cables and controller off IS a better idea.

Urban legend, on the 1K at least. It's a noise reducer. Many dyno results prove it.

Remove it. Save a little weight, and one less thing to adjust and break.

Re: How to Adjust SET Valve.

I disabled it while I had the stock exhuast on. There was no loss of low end power and fuelling was unaffected. It seemed to be a slight bit louder at idle and low speeds, which I liked of course.

Re: How to Adjust SET Valve.

My K6 has almost 10K miles on it now and I haven't touched the adjustment nuts on the SET cables. Bike still runs as crisply as it did from the dealer. Should I really be all that concerned about the adjustment (until I get a slip-on or full system next spring)?

Re: How to Adjust SET Valve.

Don't worry about adjusting it unless it is making the FI light come on.
