i got 17 760 miles.... the downfall, i had to do a complete motor reuild at 16 500... well, needed to do just the top end, but decided to go with doing the bottom end as well.... needless to say 6 weeks at berts(i hate berts ) and 3200.00 later she runs like a fuhking champ!!!!!

well according to berts, i had failing oil rings, valve seats, a bent valve, and a scored piston chamber.... according to them , when the previous owner put the 1000 cam on the intake side, and the the 750 intake cam to the exhaust side, he did not do the job right....they also found the hole in the ram intake tube where the previous owner had his fogger installed...and i just figured since they had the motor out and split, might as well do the whole thing.... i had this bike only 6 weeks , before it went.... and take a wild guess if the extended warranty covered any of the repair.... nope .... and berts said they would help me out with the bill since i had only bought it 6 weeks prior... so guess the extent of the help on the bill... a whopping 118.00 was deducted from my final bill.... afyter 6 weeks of owning it, it was in the shop 6 weeks.... and to think i sold my 04 1000 to buy this lemon.... and i have learned a very valuable lesson , stay the hell away from berts mega mall..... i was warned about them.... but since the seidners who own berts are friends of the family , i thought i would never get screwed by them.... boy was i wrong.... but i now have the bike i want and it does have basically a new motor... but what a freaking headache it has been..... so in 6 monthes when i go to buy my 07 750 , i will be heading out to chapparal....
I am working on 19k miles on mine, she is still running strong. There is a great deal of preventative maintainance that I have done. My baby is a TANK! Damn, now I just jinxed myself. Excuse me while I go knock on some wood.
14000 almost all track and canyon. runs perfectly. oh yeah, berts is only good for the cute helmet/coat check girls at the counter.
lmao.... yeah i suppose.... but that is surpassed by the incompetent help and high prices.... i went there for oil and a oil filter to do my oil change..... i walked up to the counter with 4 quarts of repsol 4t racing oil and asked for a filter for my gixxer, and the little boy behind the counter kept giving me funny looks... so i finally asked him whats wrong... and he replied with , " are you really gonna put repsol in a suzuki?" and i stated "YES, WHY?... and his reply was "THAT EVERYONE THAT RIDES A SUZUKI RUNS MOTUL OR MOTOREX, cause most of the ama guys run motul OR MOTOREX in their suzukis, AND THE HONDA GUYS RUN REPSOL" .... so i proceeded to tell him "i am not cool like everyone else and i prefer the repsol "..."should i sell my bike and stop riding now cause i prefer repsol?"...and the kid looked at me and said "dude , you dont have to get smart"....and i said , "no , you do!".... and he looked at me like i was just absolutley stupid and the repsol would sieze my motor.... i couldnt believe this kid questioning my choice of oil cause the pro guys run something else....it took everything i had not to rip him from behind the counter, put him over one knee and spank him like a step child !!!!!
so no guys , i am not cool.... i dont run motul ......
and just for the record , those girls at the helmet check will mount anything.... my buddy has hit like 3 of them in the past year...lol.....
