Hello all, Im new to the forums, just introducing myself and the new gixxer. i just picked this up 2 weeks ago, all original, 15k. 1100 bucks. it was minorly laid down, but all will be fixed this winter. d&d full exhaust, jetted and an afam rear sprocket are the only things done, but she goes. now, does anyone know if these rim are stock or aftermarket ? I've never seen them on another gixxer, so Im curious. anyways, you'll all be hearing more from me, I've done 2 restores, one on a 1980 Honda cx500 and a 91 katana 600, so i have big plans for this one. i have alot more questions on these bikes as well, so hopefully ill learn up on it from everyone.

Welcome, that's a decent looking bike with minimal scratches. Can't really tell about the rims...if they are after market.
Lots of new people signing up so don't be discouraged about the lack of attention. People do skim through posts...the impulse to respond is unpredictable.
I don't ride at the moment...sold my bike in March...the guy who bought it raced away from Law Enforcement and lost his life 2.5 wks later...I was totally bummed. I found out the brother restored the bike but I have yet to see it on the road.
Ride safe and with all your gear.

That's never good to hear about.... but, irresponsibility can lead to the unfortunate. being from northern Wisconsin, running from the law is about the worst thing you can do. Not just for the obvious, but because our roads are a death trap, even in cars. Potholes and sand. Everywhere. As far as gear goes I just got a new helmet(last one was 3 years old and cracked from dropping the helmet, luckily not from crashing), and I always wear gloves, jeans, and good gripping shoes. I will be getting boots and a jacket soon.
As far as the rims go, they are a split 3 spoke design, and are not one solid piece (split down the center the opposite way as well), its hard to explain. I will try and post more pics later.

As far as I know, those are not stock. Looks like stock discs though.
After seeing a bike with a Honda Interceptor front end, I'm wondering
They are split 3 spokers...but then you couldn't fit a normal sized tyre to them...

Technically you need your Red R to buy/sell here. Best $15 ever spent. Sradiator would be your go to guy for anything SRAD related. Chris for carb wizardry.

Yes,those are Performance Machine wheels,The "Chicane" model to be exact. I've had a few sets on various bikes over the years. Very high quality manufacturer with very high quality products. Those wheels new, cost more than what you paid for your used bike.
