You could also add duct tape or painters tap to a knee puck if you wanted to see where and if you are hitting the ground with it. But you will definitely know when you do. It is unmistakable.
Thanks for the ideas guys. I think the people who said it was rocks or debris hitting my boots or kicking something by accident and marking up the sliders are probably right. I didn't think I'd drag toes at all since I always keep my toes on the pegs when I'm cornering but definitely not without feeling it. I'll hang my heels or arches on the pegs on the highway to rest sometimes but never when I'm cornering.

If you are dragging toes you are doing something wrong. Period.
Your toes should not be hitting the ground. I did it once back when I first started riding track, I have since improved my BP significantly and I have never done it before. You will hear and feel your knees or toes dragging on the ground.
+10000. I did the same thing when I first started to go quicker. Then realized my BP was all screwy.
I think my BP is pretty good. I'm thinking my toes didn't actually drag. Like I said I never felt a thing and everyone is saying I would have definitely felt it. Could have easily kicked something now that I think about it, not the best boots for walking.
I heard this drag. Was shocked to see it was the shifter when I pitted.
This is a 600 with fork extenders maxed out and rear shock adjusted to match the height. Long decreasing radius left hander with suspension compressing..........hard. Vortex rearsets all the way up and back, I realize that doesn't move the shifter pivot but my point is that I drag toes all the time, thats why the sliders are replaceable. Testament to the Power Cup.
I usually drag my toes when I drag knee...just a bit past knnee down..but its the most comfortable for me.. ..I'm somewhere between the balls and arches...especially if its a lot of tight turns and I am choosing gears a lot..I want some aftermrket rearsets to move them up a bit higher however..I've accidently wore off my toe sliders before and drug a hole in my boot
On my 2012 1000 I a running my Woodcrafts a little lower. I used do the all the way up and all the way back but it did not work for me on the 1000 with the 7 degree angle on the Woodcraft clip ons. Could not get used to the up and back so I said F it and moved them one notch lower and all was good.
So far no toe dragging but I keep my foot way up on the ball to the point my heel wear a spot on the swing arm.

If you're scraping hard parts and dragging toes you should check your body position.
