Which is the better shock?

When I bought my '89 750, the PO included a Fox shock that possibly needs new seals. I've heard of people swapping in a '03-04 Cbr600RR shock after a spring change.

I don't know the rate of the spring currently on the Fox shock but if it's OK, then from what I've gathered a rebuild may cost about the same as buying the Cbr shock and getting it resprung.

So, I guess what I'm asking is: if both shocks cost the same to fit to my bike, which is a better choice?

Thanks.

A lot of people here would like to buy that Fox if you don't use it!!

That should tell you something.

Re: Which is the better shock?

Thanks for the replies. I think I read on here that Dylan at Central Coast Suspension is a good guy to deal with? I tried contacting Fox to see if they still serviced the shock but they referred me to Mike Carver at Carver Performance. I checked out that website and it was mostly snowmobile related.
