yeah i wrecked my bike back in 2006 about 11 months after i purchased it, was young and dumb and i was doing a stand up in second gear and i hit a railraod track and it shoot out from under me , i joined the military about a yr after words and it sat in storage until this summer when i ets'd and now im doing everything to fix her up, the paint scheme im doing ive been thinking about painting it like the 06 gsxr 1000 but im going to keep the silver and white theme i just think its the nicest paint combo, and i made the fairings one piece bcuz it looks better with no seems in the fairing and it kinda looks like the hotbodies race fairng but i can keep my lights .. haha, and thx for checking out my restoration
Sorry to interrupt your rebuild (which is very interesting, btw) What branch of service before you ETS'd?
I remember reading your posts a while back...it's good to see you on here continuing with your bike.

Looks good man, no mirrors always look better but +1 on the bar end mirrors. I ordered the Driven mirror for my bike. They look pretty sick plus they have different color combos.
Very nice rebuild! I lowsided my 02 600 in september, working up the funds and motivation to start and finsh her before the riding season starts again. Great picture documentation, you can really see the result of your hard work!
Maybe he is getting bar end mirrors? That's the way to go IMO.
OP, I think the wheels would look good painted as that secondary color you have on the bike.
yeah i am getting bar end mirrors.. just havent decided which one i want yet, and im still debating if i want to paint the rims, or just leave them black
