Re: What are your gloves of choice?
well, I'm a squid, so I have RevIt RSR gloves for now, maybe I will upgrade to something else from RevIt in the future, but I actually like these gloves, they appear to be very well made, very plush and comfortable. bought them instead of the slr gloves, but I was told rsr's are more comfortable and better bang for the buck, plus I got them at a discount.
i think for future reference, people throwin in their opinions should include their previous gloves so there's some semblance of an unbiased (say, if you've only owned one pair) decision.
i'll start, in no particular order. (this is by no means a be-all end-all kind of comparison... that said)
cortech adrenaline gauntlets
alpinestars mx carbon (textile)
alpinestars gpx 3/4 gloves
alpinestars gp pro gauntlets
knox biomech gauntlets
of these, the biomechs are a notch above all others in terms of feel response, comfort, ease of on/off and protection. worth every cent i spent and then some.

A* GP Plus. My only complaint is that within a month of having them (brand new) the plastic on the wrist pull peeled off. Makes it a bit harder to pull it off the velcro.
They're the only gloves I've had for a year and a half now, they're held up pretty nicely.
I have A* GP Pro golves, but next gloves will have palm sliders or what ever those are called. Other than that, these are great gloves and really comfortable. I got a replacement glove for 20 euros, so I'll use these until they wear out.
I'm using a set of Dainese Steel core carbons. Once I broke them in they fit perfectly. Also held up great in a small lowside I had. The palm slider took the brunt of the impact and was hardly scratched.
I've had similar issues with astar gp gloves. High-sided over the summer, I broke my wrist in three spots and the palm of the glove came apart on me. Now I'm using Heroic. Their gloves are amazing and their customer service too.
No talent eh-hole squid, who stunts in traffic wearing flippie-floppies, board shorts and sunglasses when he is not parked at Tim Horton's representing his single-member squid bike club. Also a Fuckwad, a Jizz Receptacle and a Twat Waffle.

I've had my gp techs for two seasons and they have almost 10,000km on them. Haven't "tested" them yet *knock on wood* and I have no trouble with them at all. Worth the $300CAD I coughed up for them...
I bought a pair of gp pros last summer and they are quite a step down from the techs. If your going a*, get the techs and not the pros. The pros feel like a mechanic glove to me.

I got the Handroids and the Gp pro.......I find the A* to be more comfortable and with better feel....I thought the handroids were bulky but needed wearing in........I wear them everyday and still feel the same about them

this happened to my first pair of alpinestars gloves as well.

I was wearing their top-of-the-line glove when i was taken out at Barber back in '09. They held up great in the crash.
My scaphoid exploded when my palm hit the ground (instinct)...which required 5hrs of surgery, a Ti plate and 9 screws (1 screw for each bone fragment to piece them together on the plate)...then 9 weeks of agonizing PT and electro-shock therapy just to be able to touch my thumb to my pinkey.
