You lucky baxtard awesome find. It looks like you are just missing the foam cover that goes over the gauge surround. Sometimes mice will chew on it if stored under a deck etc. The PO may have just peeled off the foam backing due to that or for looks. I read in the forumns here that the 1100 gauges and 750 gauge bezels ARE NOT THE SAME. Awesome find and good luck to you. Cheers, Bobby
You have the 750 gauges and the 1100 gauge pod. 1100's have an aluminum cover that covers and protects the foam. Apparently the 750 did not have the cover but was otherwise the same except its gauges have lower max speed and higher redline.
I envy this find. You're so fuckin lucky what a steal. As far as the gauges go, the foam is different in thickness between the ones that have the metal bezel and the ones that dont. The main bracket that the cluster is built around is also different and has higher standoffs to countersink the idiots lights further into the shorter foam on the ones that have the metal faceplate. I know this because I'm restoring mine and have a bezel cluster and a non bezel cluster.
The stock set of carbs I just got are marked 28A00 E5Z3 on the side and differ slightly from the 4th set of carbs. The 4th carbs are the closest to what I've got which on the head side of the carbs has the bore venturis in the side of body plugged. If you look at the other 3 sets of carbs you have, you'll see the venturis are set up to be connected.
The forth set if carbs are the ones I installed. They looked to be the most complete. With fuel lines and vent lines. They got her to run but not really well. I took apart the set that's missing a bowl. They all had rust dust in bowls. I never looked in tank, so when I saw the bowls I checked tank. Rust. Not too bad. Only surface rust inside. But enough to clog things up.
