So, SRAD1.....I know you like it, and that's cool. But think about your mod:
You added weight.
You impeded air flow and added wind resistance.
You made it harder to see anything potentially wrong or easily reach anything without removing fairings.
To me this is an anti-mod, but to each their own.

Pulled mine out the garage and went for a little ride. (First day in what felt like 3 weeks that it hasn't rained) and I went to flogging on her, then the rain came back so I rode home soaked like a sewer rat

To be honest ccm, i did think about it before starting.
1. Weight is tiny, mabey a few grams, this stuff is very light.
2. Yes it would've impeded air flow but would be bugger all, its the same stuff you put in front of radiators in cars. I had it in front of the radiator of my SV650 the protect it and it never caused any overheating or anything from lack of airflow.
3. I do have to pull my fairing off to get to anything but im not lazy so it doesn't bother me and i can see through it very easily!!
Man you guys are hard to please, i just liked the look. I hadn't seen it on ayones bike in here and didn't cost me a cent so i thought what the hell!! Thanx for the feedback but!!
Re: Is there a what have you done to your bike today thread on here???
Srad1 visually it looks ok its not something i would do to my bike.CCM,s perspective is track day orientated so I understand his point with regard to weight, air flow & accessibility. For street it's cool and goes well with the colour of the bike. Like you said your the first to try it & you can always switch back if you like.

You all are making me even more anxious to get home!
Didn't do anything to the bike as I'm still not home, but I blessed off on a new vehicle for Xmas to replace the minivan.
Pretty little wifey was trying to chose between a spread of nearly identical Jettas- and chose the black one, to match my bike- because we're sickeningly cute like that.
So, we bought a car as an accessory for a motorcycle.

Took her out for a 40 mile putt but came back early due to the high volume of LEO on patrol today!! I dont want to start off this year with a ticket!!!
Re: Is there a what have you done to your bike today thread on here???
Do you have to speed to enjoy riding? I don't know if I could ever get to that point. I mean, I've seen porn, so I know people can get bored with pretty fantastic things. I just can't imagine it happening to me.
Re: Is there a what have you done to your bike today thread on here???
That sucks. I love both riding and sex, I'd hate to be so tired of one that I needed something crazy just to enjoy it!
Since I'm using sex as an analogy for riding, I guess that means that racing is like an orgy, while speeding on the street is like autoerotic asphyxiation. If I needed that level of excitement just to get off, I'd at least choose the one that nobody would want to make fun of me for.
But, that's just me.

I'll say that I hate street riding. Riding to work, around town etc, is barely riding. It's always fun to ride a bike, but almost not worth getting all the gear on. Track..... Yes.
Porn analogy on.

I hate to hear that times are tough for you, but you've got a good sense of humor about it.
As to riding in Hawaii: I've been home for two weeks out of the last 12 months, and when I finally get home later this month, it's going to be raining all the time. When the sun comes out... yes. Yes, you're right to hate.
