^thanks for the offer and the compliment. Not using these wheels is killing me. Hopefully someone wants them for a track bike. I may still use them for a while, my bike is just for joy riding so the tires would probably last long enough.

The whole situation with the guy is now becoming a mess. I've bought and sold s bunch of stuff online. I guess I'm lucky in the sense that this is the 1 and only issue I've ever had....Don't feel lucky at the moment though.

Putting higher PSI in a tire does not help it warm up, it does the opposite, it keeps the tire cooler

The closest track is NOT 4 hours away buddy (and even if it was, shit we drive 9 hours to get to VIR

). There's a brand new one that's right down the road (figuratively, about 1.5 hours from Albany)....haven't you heard. They've already paved and run test laps on it. Grand opening in May. All the local org's will have plenty of days there.

But just an FYI and something to bear in mind. The availability of 16.5 tires is getting less and less now. AMA has ceased to used 16.5 since the 2008 Superbike season. In 2013 World Superbike is switching back to 17 inch rubber too. The trucks don't typically even carry 16.5 tires with them at CCS race weekends. You have to call the distributor ahead of time and make sure they deliver a set for you.

I guess what I'm saying is that while they are badass rims, they are going to make finding rubber for them a pain even at the racetrack. I can pretty much guarantee if you go to a track day and need to change a tire, no one is going to have a 16.5 rubber for you.

Honestly, if it was like 2-3 years ago I would have GLADLY taken them and put them on the 1000. But in all honesty, now it would probably just make my life more difficult sourcing tires, especially on short notice.

I don't know how i haven't heard about that track. I gotta read through and check it out. Thx! As far as the wheels, the guy screwed me. The more I talk to him the more it obvious he doesn't know anything about bikes. I really don't think he even sees a problem. He calls and is like " good news" those wheels arent 16.5" there're 420mm. I could have killed him right there.

So, I'm back at it again. Gathered a few parts over the winter. Asv C5 levers. These are really nice and pretty universal. They came with different bushings and break switch options. These are the shorty version.

Grabbed a zero gravity double bubble cheap off ebay. Just held up for comparison its not very noticeable. I thought the bubble would stick out a lot more. I like the looks of it, should be easier to get behind it. I'm 6'4"not easy to get in a tuck position.
Oh yeah, got some new boots as well.
